REMOVAL DEFENSE

Overview

Removal (deportation) proceedings take place in immigration court before an immigration judge. Facing removal can be one of the most stressful experiences a person and their family can endure, and the outcome can determine whether someone is able to remain in the United States.

Possible defenses and relief

Depending on the case, available forms of relief may include cancellation of removal, asylum and related protections, adjustment of status, waivers of inadmissibility or deportability, voluntary departure, and appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) or federal courts. Each form of relief has its own requirements and deadlines.

How Do Law can help

We analyze the charges, identify every available form of relief, gather supporting evidence, represent clients at hearings, and pursue appeals where warranted — fighting to keep families together.
